You will discover the forest and nature at the "Serras do Porto" park. Leave the noise and stress of the city behind and enter in a natural park where you can hike in the mountains, just beside river, cross suspended bridges and visit ancient villages inhabited by only 5 people. In this perfect bucolic landscapes we will stop for a picnic with traditional products, cheese, fruit, and beverage, including local wine if desired. During the walk it's usual to see the shepherd and his sheep. Feel embraced by the nature, this peaceful place where you only hear the relaxing sound of the river and the birds! Don't forget to bring your camera as you will take amazing photos.
  • Fruit salad, water melon, roasted sausage, smoked meats, cheese, bread, lupines, olives, egg custards (pastel de nata), and green wine (vinho verde). Fully vegetarian or vegan picnic available.

Ricardo and xia were wonderful guides for our 6 mile hike . Pick up was seamless at the Porto sao bento station and then we (middle aged parents, 16 year old twins and 12 year old) were off for our adventure with Ricardo and xia to serros do Porto park. Hiking was moderate in some portions (inclines with loose rocks) but largely beginner. Lunch was wonderful , which Ricardo packed in his backpack . After the hustle and bustle of Porto, this tour was a great respite . Highly recommend . Ricardo also had great dinner recommendations for us in Porto!

It was great to be in the peaceful countryside and enjoy the lovely scenery. Ricardo met me at the station. He arrived on one train just after the start time and we headed out of Porto for 25 mins on the same train. It was interesting to hear about the history of the area and we had a very enjoyable walk. The food was healthy and tasty, partly home made and I appreciated him catering vegetarian for me. Unfortunately the dog was unable to walk with us today. A lovely experience but for regular active hikers, the distance covered may not be as great as you would expect.

We had a great hike with Ricardo and Shai Just the perfect amount of strenuous with shady areas to cool us down We had a wonderful lunch with the most delicious hummus made by Ricardo It was nice getting away from the busy city of Porto
