The safari is organised by the Forest Department. DO NOT FALL PRAY TO THE LOCAL PEOPLE, WHO CLAIM TO TAKE YOU FOR A SAFARI. THEY DO NOT TAKE INSIDE THE FOREST. A permit is must for taking the safari. The permit has to be booked online at girlion gujarat website . This is only the permit to enter. The jeep + guide will be additional, once you reach there. Jeep =₹ 2000/-, Guide = ₹ 400/-. This has to be paid on the spot while taking the ride. The best time for safari is in the morning. There are slots of 3 Hours each 0630 Hrs is the 1st slot. Each jeep is give a specific route to follow. It is purely on your luck to spot a Lion. The jungle was its scariest best in the morning, with no light, and it was dark. As the dawn breaks, the jungle becomes very beautiful. The guide and driver were very cooperative, and take maximum effort to see that you spot a lion. We could see many different animals like, neel gai, Sambar, monkey, owls, wild boar, deer's, lion and a lioness which walked across our path. A very good experience, every once should try it at least once. If you are lucky, you will get to see it in the 1st safari itself. Many people book 2 or 3 safari to spot a lion.

You need to book a 6:30 slot to spot a lion. There are so many amazing creatures you will come across and that makes this safari worth it.
