With a little effort, this could have been an easy 5 star (with some bad luck or less fun group of passengers, a 1 star).
The good: the places we stopped were wonderful, the on board snacks, food, and drinks were also amazing (and there was no shortage of it), and the vessel itself is very comfortable and beautiful to spend the day on!
The bad: the crew did the bare minimum in almost every aspect of the voyage. It started out rough: we met a crew member (he wound up being the captain) at the meetup point who barely acknowledged we were on his boat nor introduced himself; eventually he gestured vaguely and said something to the extent "go that way" and we walked towards the docks alone and very confused. We only managed to find the right boat based on its name. Once the passengers were all aboard, the Captain showed up again by still never introduced himself (or the crew) at any point of the voyage, never gave a brief tour of the vessel (to point out bathrooms, where the water is, first aid, etc.), nor announced any of our meal times or what we were eating or drinking. During the voyage, the Captain maybe 2 or 3 times vaguely and apatheticly mentioned famous parts of Ischia... but it was rare he would speak to any of us at all. The one other crewmate onboard barely engaged with anyone outside of a few times when addressed by an Italian passenger.
To be clear, they weren't mean or hostile, but not hospitable and seemed to exude an attitude that they would rather be doing anything but their job. Maybe they had a hard week? I'm sure there's a great reason they weren't engaged or hospitable.
We were very glad there hadn't been any emergencies - I can't confidently say our crew would have been attentive enough to respond quickly.
Overall, with a little more effort, this voyage could be a 5 star event with just a little more hospitality from the crew. We were fortunate to enjoy the other passengers and made it a great time despite the crew being non-present and doing the bare minimum.
