Its extreme saltiness also means that rather than swimming in the Dead Sea, people float on the surface.

Mini bus pour notre mini groupe, rdv à 5 minutes de notre hôtel sous une belle pluie. Traversée du désert avec plein d'explications, arrêt minutes pour des cosmétiques. Site de Massada, grandiose. Téléphérique inclus dans le voyage. Déjeuner dans un resto que de touristes, pour une fois... Mer morte avec un beau complexe pour se changer, se baigner, se doucher. Une magnifique journée, chère mais géniale. Merci à notre guide Léa pour toutes les explications

Going to Masada was thrilling and should not be missed. Dead Sea required a longer period of time. Eric, our guide, was excellent. Tour done in English and Spanish but that was fine. Only bad issue was the frequent and timely stops pushing Ahava cosmetics. We virtually had 15 minutes to be in the Dead Sea. I have read other reviews complaining about the cosmetic stops but it appears no one is listening.

I bought the 11 day Israel Jewish Heritage tour from IBMT Tour group but was told that all the tours go through Rent a Guide in Israel. The tour absolutely exceeded my expectations and that is because of our guide Yair Zisman. Yair taught us about everything in Israel from the vegetation to the animals to the politics to religion to spirituality to history, etc. etc. I can NOT say enough good things about him. He was kind, patient, super smart and extremely knowledgeable about every site and was able to answer every single question we had. If you are taking a tour in Israel and do not get to go with Yair, you would definitely be missing out.
