Pamukkale is a place completely worth seeing and this tour had many advantages we were looking for such as the transportation from Izmir to Pamukkale itself but there were many things I was not fond of. First was that the very fast drive was harsh given all the curves of the road making us dizzy. Once we arrived we were to have 2 1/2 hours to see the site but the tour guide forgot our passes to enter which took about 1/2 hour to recuperate and instead of asking us to be back at the bus later he kept the same time to meet up and just gave us 2 hrs instead (which was honestly BARELY enough). Most guided tours I have been in the guide has no problem talking and letting us take photos while we listen but our tour guide basically wanted our undivided attention without taking our site of him which made it hard for picture taking. In all reality we entered the area, heard two or three details and the guide told us "you can either go to the water area or come with me to listen to more things but I can't say if you have enough time to come back". So of course we wanted this tour to see and enjoy the views of the calcified water area not for the ruins nearby and about 80% of the tour stayed and only 2 people kept with the guide so it felt as if a tour guide was not really even needed. So overall... place is worth it, the guided part of the tour was not needed, the time allocated is enough but only if you don't stick to the guide. If you use it like we did (mostly for the transportation there) then is worth it. If you actually want to spend time at the location AND get a lot of information then this won't satisfy you.
