From the moment we were picked up at our Airbnb by Ishmael we knew we were going to enjoy this trip and where going to see the real way the people of this area of Johannesburg live and the real struggles they deal with everyday. We got to see so many amazing people, so much life and visited places that we will never forget this is definitely the way to see Soweto. Raw, by bus and walking around the people and getting to see things from their point of view and perspective. We went to a day care where we met some amazing teachers and caregivers who took care of dozens of kids it was so powerful to see even though they had very little they were happy kids. Ended up the trip by having a Soweto Gold beer at a restaurant by the Orlando Towers. Magical experience. Great food great conversation. Thank you Ishmael.
