    Daman is situated 80 kilometers southwest of Kathmandu at an altitude of about 2,400m. Daman is located on the Tribhuvan Highway in between Kathmandu and the town of Birgunj. For the view of breathtaking grandeur of the world's highest peaks extending in one glittering are from far- west of Dhaulagiri to far-east of Mt. Everest there is no better place than Daman. There is a view tower fitted with long range telescopes. Daman can be reached in four hours drive from Kathmandu.

Ca. 90 km außerhalb von KTM liegt auf einer Höhe von über 2.000 m der kleine Ort Daman. Von dort hat man - auch wenn man etwas weiter entfernt von den Bergen ist - eine fantastische Aussicht auf den Himalaya von Annapurna bis Makalu (über 300 km Luftlinie). Zu empfehlen ist eine Übernachtung, damit man nicht nur den Sonnenuntergang sondern auch den Sonnenaufgang von Osten her beobachten kann. Aber Vorsicht: Nur kurzfristig bei gutem klaren Wetter buchen. Sobald Wolken kommen ist die Aussicht gleich Null.
