Situated 45 km just the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu valley is the hilltop village of Namo Buddha. The Namo Buddha Day tour takes you to the Buddhist pilgrimage site which is situated at the hilltop of Panauti in Kavre District. The main attraction of this tour at Namo Buddha is the Thrangu Tashi Yangtse monastery. Young monks studying here are also part of this monastery. According to the legend, Lord Budhha in his previous life was a prince, encountered an ill tigress while walking in the forest, that was close to death from starvation and unable to feed her cubs . With his compassion act, lord Budhha allowed to consume himself to starving tigress family. He then transported to the higher realms of existence with this did. In a small cave up to the forested path, just left of the stupa, a marble tablet depicts all the event.

it is from from kathmandu almost 40/50 kms and takes you to the far from the pollution of the city in a peaceful place and you can have the beautiful view of GUMPA and have darshan of the ghumpa at the place for the Buddhism factor
