Enjoying nature and the natural beauty are great reasons to go kayaking on the outskirts of New Orleans. We paddle through the Honey Island Swamp and circle through large cypress trees with one of the trees being on the National Registry. The waters are calm and ideal for both beginners and moderate paddlers alike. Very little experience is necessary to paddle these picturesque waterways. We keep our tours small so we can cater to the interest of our guests. You will see an array of wildlife as you make way enjoying the beauty and peacefulness only nature can avail.

    Come join a guided tour on an enchanting water trail through the historic Honey Island Swamp, just on the outskirts of famous New Orleans. Paddle through the backwaters for a two+ hour scenic tour meandering the water trails connecting with nature and the heritage of the area. Come learn about the eco system, culture of the "backyard" swamps, and waterways as you imagine the many indigenous people who paddled before you. The waters are calm and ideal for both beginners and moderate paddlers alike. Very little experience is necessary to paddle these picturesque waterways. We keep our tours small so we can cater to the interest of our guests. You will see an array of wildlife as you make way enjoying the beauty and peacefulness only nature can avail.

Very beautiful and secluded area so we could appreciate nature. Deb was an amazing tour guide and very knowledgeable. She even took some really great photos that we hadn’t realized she had captured and sent them to us later which was a nice bonus! She went above and beyond in many ways that made it a memorable trip.

This was the best part of our family’s trip to New Orleans. It was so much fun to kayak in the swamp! Deb was an amazing guide. She told us all about the swamp and as a kayak racer she was perfect for helping us beginners get the hang of kayaking. The weather was a little chilly at first but turned out to be perfect with all the rowing. We knew that since it was winter we wouldn’t see much wildlife but we saw a giant white heron that hung around us for a long time and then flew away down the swamp. We all had an amazing experience. My whole family would definitely do this tour again.

Wow, the swamp was so full of life and very peaceful. Deb, the owner and tour guide, was a wonderful guide. She made sure I was comfortable the whole time. It was one of the highlights of my trip. She was funny and sweet. I highly recommend this tour.
