The Gourmet Camp Oven Experience is the most unique and exclusive culinary experience the Kimberley has to offer. Your dining table is set in the most spectacular of Kimberley locations, amongst boab trees and red cliff faces. On arrival you are greeted with a complimentary alcoholic ginger beer as you sit back on camping chairs and watch the sunset against the Kimberley rocks. Hailed by many as the best restaurant in Kununurra - all dishes are created in front of your eyes, over the fire or in camp ovens. Each dish has an emphasis on flavour and freshness using a combination of locally sourced produce and bush tucker. Dine under a million stars and solar light chandeliers. Live music is played during the main course. Includes return transfers from your accommodation to our secret dining location.

  • One complimentary alcoholic ginger beer will be given to guests aged 18 years and older. A non alcoholic ginger beer will be provided for all other guests. You are welcome to bring your own esky and drinks. Ice and iced water is provided.
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

We had been trying for two years to visit Outback Gourmet but Covid kept us away. We were so pleased we eventually made it and to visit this unique and wonderful experience. We were met by Josh in Kununurra where he picked us up and took us out to the secret destination. We were very impressed upon arrival with the set up he and Tamsyn have created. Josh explained everything that was to happen throughout the night and it was thoroughly enjoyable. The food was delicious and to have Josh singing while we were enjoying our meal was an added bonus!! Well done to Josh and Tamsyn

We have done the camp oven dinner a few times, this was the first time at the new location. It was just as great as out at Lake Argyle, the added bonus was being picked up and dropped off at our front door. I also want to thank Josh and Tamsyn for catering for my gluten free, dairy free requirements. The damper and the brownie were fantastic and the ice cream was delicious! Thanks for a great night.
