Visited here on a coach trip and we were cordially welcomed by an informative guide. We started by visiting the house and the one-way system meant that the traffic of visitors ran smoothly. There are some great artefacts to admire but some of the artwork could do with some information e.g the artist's name?! We walked down to the beach and had a coffee whilst looking out to sea, and then walked on to the cottage. Unfortunately not all of the cottage was open, and it was quite a walk from the seafront, but its focus on the royal children was very informative. We then took a steady stroll back to the main house and explored the wall garden with its 2 green houses, and this was the highlight for us. There weren't many people walking about so we were free to roam round and look at all of the flowers, fruit trees and abundance of produce, most of which would be used in the on site kitchen. There are also some benches scattered about so that you can relax and take in the sights. We then went for a drink and sandwich in the café adjacent to the gift shop, before exploring the gift shop with its array of varying priced treats. After being offered a sample, we treat ourselves to some strawberry flavoured wine. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip here and this was also due to favourable weather which allowed us to explore as much of the grounds as possible. Well worth a visit.
