Our bus was on time, spotless and clean, our guide Maggie was gracious, kept us listening all the way as we got a thoroughly educational and articulate history of Windsor and its highlights to see.
We went direct to the cafe Unterbrucht inside the castle (rather than the tourist gauntlet outside), had brunch, then had plenty of time to see it all (except the crowded dollhouse). I stepped on Henry VIII’s grave to commemorate his crappy treatment of everyone who was dedicated to him, especially Ann!! Stood where Harry was married, viewed Elizabeth’s and Phillip’s graves, and much more. Then a smooth bus transfer back to Earl’s Court from where we walked 1/2 mile to the lovely free Crafts Museum. Just a perfect day thanks to Maggie and her driver!!
Entry is 35£ each, so with the train ride (transfer required) the price for this is a bargain!!
