Its matters of state still whisper in the Mexuar – a meeting place for ministers, all floral tiles and tapering columns, whose later conversion into a chapel could not conceal its Moorish origins. Its afternoons at play still haunt the Patio de los Leones – an intricate courtyard, the core of royal life under Muhammed V, where fountains splash. And its sophistication still flickers around the Palacio de Comares.  Your tour includes hotel pickup and drop off via private coach from the following cities:  Malaga, Fuengirola, Marbella, Torremolinos, and Benalmadena.  Then,  you will be driven to Alhambra (about 1hr 30min) then you will visit Alhambra with your official tour guide (about 2hrs and 30min).  See Nasrid Palace where you will enjoy the Mexuar, Comares and Lions courtyard; Alcazaba - the Military Fortification; and Generalife - the recreational Palace and Gardens. Enjoy your free time (60 min) exploring outside or inside Alhambra where you can visit our shops, restaurants, and museums.  Then, back to Malaga (about 1hr 30min) to conclude your tour.

Eduardo picked us up at the Malaga port and was fantastic not only as a driver but also added other stops in since time allowed. This was a private tour for four people, it was worth every penny we spent. Lara Carranza was our tour guide through Alhambra Palace and Generalife Gardens. She is a historian and gave us such wonderful details that we never would have known had it not been for her many years of studies. We were into the palace before crowds of people got there which made it relaxed and unrushed. We have used Viator all over the world and this only reaffirmed why! Thank you… we will be booking again on our next trip.

We two elderly ladies booked the “Private Alhambra Palace and Generalife Gardens Tour from Malaga” with Apartrip Travels through Viator. We heartily recommend it. Our superb driver, Jose, arrived at our AirBnB on the dot of the agreed time in an immaculate 8-passenger taxi van. He communicated well, with a nice sense of humor. Since we got to Granada early, he took us around the oldest parts of the city, with its twisty, winding streets and walls that came within an inch of the sideview mirrors. Then, taking us to the entrance of Alhambra, he introduced our guide, Mohammed. Mohammed was marvelously knowledgeable and dramatically entertaining: he introduced us to a lot of history, politics, and Islam as related to Alhambra. After the tour, Jose drove us to the Alhambra Palace Hotel for drinks and snacks, and great views of all of Granada--an experience not to be missed—before returning us to El Palo, Malaga. We suggest that Apartrip and Viator might consider updating their description to highlight their actual flexibility in the pick-up time and place so that the traveler need not be anxious about it. And rather than promising an art historian, indicating a knowledgeable guide on the history and art of Alhambra and Generalife would be more accurate.
