I was here in April 2022 at Cheddi Jagan International Airport. I was suprised to see how easy and pleasant an experience this was. The staff overall were good, helpful and friendly. Only at the security check point, the staff was disgruntled and frankly rude to travellers. Checking in was simply. Staff checked me in, gave my boarding pass, and my luggage was weighted and scanned. Covid protocols were followed. You must provide a negative covid antigen result when traveling to New York. The airport was clean and security was tight. Note that family and friends had to wait at the entrance of the check in, but after checking, I was able to go and say my good byes. Looking forward to return to Guyana very soon.
