We’ll take a kayak and exploration adventure to beautiful Comino – exploring caves, crystal waters, gorgeous bays and beaches or stunning rock formations (weather dependent)! This experience is a full-day tour (10:30am - 4:30pm) from Gozo to Comino. Beginners and experienced kayakers are welcome. It is just a bit more than half kayaking and the rest is relaxing, swimming, exploring on land! You'll visit the Blue Lagoon side and the Santa Maria side of Comino. Both have amazing caves, bays and rock formations. Please understand that all tours are weather-dependent and not all areas/routes may be accessible. If needed, the guide will teach you the basics and make sure you feel comfortable! Please tell us your kayak experience when booking, so we can group you better with others. This is an active adventure, so a moderate level of fitness and basic swimming ability is required. A yummy homemade lunch is included! Please contact us about half-day tours or other information.

  • Hondoq Bay, Malta
    This is our usual starting point for the Comino tour. Please note that it may change due to weather or other factors. Please read your messages before the tour and contact us if in doubt. Here, we will set you up with the equipment and make sure you are comfortable in your kayak. You'll meet your guide and do a safety briefing. Then we set you on your way!

  • Gozo Channel
    We generally start with a short paddle along the Gozo coastline to get comfortable in our kayaks before our journey takes us across the Gozo Channel Comino! The crossing usually takes about 20min and is approx. 800m at the narrowest point. This is where the adventure really gets started!
  • Blue Lagoon, Malta
    We try to see as much as we can of Comino based on the weather conditions and busyness on the water! But it won't be possible to see everything every trip! We do make every effort to stop in or nearby the beautiful Blue Lagoon for a break. In this time you can swim, explore the chrystal blue sea or just relax if you would like. If we cannot land in or nearby we will be sure to kayak into the first part of the Blue Lagoon so you can enjoy it from the water! On our way we pass by and explore a number of gorgeous caves and bays. It's awesome!

  • Cominotto Reef, Malta
    Cominotto is not easily accessible to regular tourists, but kayaks can make use of the perfect entrance through the secret tunnel through the island to the Blue Lagoon! An unforgettable experience in itself!
  • Crystal Lagoon, Malta
    When the weather allows we can kayak around the back of Cominotto and head to explore the stunning clear waters, hidden tunnels and awe-inspiring open-top caves in the Crystal lagoon. We can see where films like Troy (Brad Pitt), Swept Away (Madonna) and the Count of Monte Cristo were filmed!
  • San Niklaw Bay, Malta
    Hidden around the corner from San Niklaw Bay is our favourite swimming spot. It is a hidden gorge only easily accessible by water. We lovingly refer to it as Urchin's Bay and it contains a wealth of marine life!

  • Ħalfa Rock, Malta
    Ħalfa Rock, also known as Oath Rock or Qala Rock is a stunning stand alone island just off the coast of Gozo. Your guide will tell you all about the pirate lord and show the 700 year old hermit hut and St Anthony's Battery!
  • Santa Marija Bay, Malta
    We also visit the Santa Marija Bay area. It is great for swimming and relaxing. If time allows, we sometimes take a short walk exploring some epic lookout points and can even crawl into the Smuggler's Cave from the land entrance! Please understand that all our tours are weather-dependent and not all areas may be accessible. Also, the Comino tours are not always possible due to winds or other factors. The tours are subject to a location change. If so, we will notify you before the tour, so always check your messages and contact us if you are in doubt.

For safety reasons, we reserve the right to deny services or change the route/duration of the tour due to medical or relevant issues that are not reported to us before/at the time of booking, or that are reported to us in an inaccurate way.
  • Pregnant women are permitted to join the tours if they are in their 27th week or less of pregnancy at the time of the tour.
  • Minimum age is 8 years old (strict policy)
  • Children under 13 are required to be in a double kayak with an adult (strict policy)
  • All participants must be able to swim at a basic level and everyone is required to wear a life vest at all times in the kayak.
  • Double kayaks will be provided to even numbered groups unless singles are specifically requested/approved at the time of booking.
  • Each guide is only permitted to lead a limited number of kayaks for safety reasons and to increase the quality of the tour. For this reason, availability may be limited.
  • Minimum group size of 2, solo travellers may join if an existing group has formed but may need to be flexible.
  • Customer cancellations only permitted up to 24 hours in advance.
  • A picnic lunch is provided, including a snack and fruit. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions..
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

What a day. We had Ang as our guide, and she was absolutely lovely! The wind was due to die down but unfortunately it picked up - meaning we couldn’t do all the caves, and it was quite sloppy and swelly. We landed on Comino and walked around to the caves instead! Even though it wasn’t ideal sea conditions, we felt safe at all times. Ang made sure all of us were ok every step of the way. Ang took loads of amazing photos so we didn’t need to worry about that, and the homemade lunch that was provided (which had catered for my allergies too) was just delicious (I’d pay good money for that flapjack recipe!!). Although we landed slightly early due to the weather (it had also started raining - proving all weather forecasts for the day wrong), I didn’t feel like we had missed out on anything. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our day and would highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you guys for a wonderful experience - and look us up if you come to our island!

Alles war perfekt! Obwohl wir nicht das allerbeste Wetter hatten, war der ganze Tag sehr schön. Tourguides, die gesamte Gruppe inkl. bestem Mittagessen war sehr gut.

The tour was wonderful. Chris is a very good experienced guide and paddler who loves to laugh and showed us all the secret corners on Comino in a relaxed way, beautiful caves and rock arches. The equipment is very good, good kayaks, waterproof bags and jackets. Lunch was very tasty, lovingly made fresh pasta salad and homemade power bars. Chris took a lot of photos, which were made available to us promptly.
