sean is knowledgeable, witty, experienced, considerate and hospitable………. this “tour” absolutely is essential if you REALLLLLLY want to see the real MR…… the river, the cliffs, the bush as well as the wine ????!! sean oozes enthusiasm & love for MR !

From the moment we were met in the carpark we knew we had selected the right tour. Relaxed, welcoming and informative was what we experienced throughout the day. There was just enough structure balanced with just enough freedom to make us feel we were part of a group but free to explore. Sean has exceptional knowledge of the area and when this was combined with exclusive access to the Margaret River, indigenous sites and wineries it made the experience very memorable. The canoeing on the river was magical, safe and for the right amount of time to not be overdone. Actually getting on the Margaret River is a must. We were also privileged to get a working tour of the winery and actually eat lunch in the barrel room, which was a real educational experience. The sandy 4WD trip out to the coastline was breathtaking, again a level of access that you wouldn't get if not for the foresight and persistence that Sean endured. Overall we had a very educational and memorable experience, one that we would recommend to anyone travelling to the region.

Honestly, if you only do ONE thing in Margaret River, forget the town itself or a boozy vineyard-to-vineyard tour with a hundred drunken tourists… after two wineries you won’t know your Cabernet from your Chardonnay! Sean and the Margaret River Discovery Tour is the ONLY way to go! We had such a great time paddling on Margaret River (which actually is a creek) in the morning, tasting honey and learning a thing or two about the honoured aboriginals of this area, sampling gorgeous wines at Fraser Gallop Estate and enjoying the most magnificent lunch spread from Blue Ginger… then on to a 4WD completely off the beaten track and a walk on the coast-to-Coast trail, kangaroo encounter included, and some of the best surf you can see anywhere in the world! Thanks to Sean for being such a knowledgable and fun tour guide!
