It is famous for the remarkable buildings of different tones of faded blue of its old town. Leather and weaving workshops line its steep cobbled alleys. In the shaded central square of Outa el Hammam is the casbah with red walls, fortress and keep of the fifteenth century with ethnographic and artistic exhibitions. The octagonal minaret of the Great Mosque rises not far from there.

Muhammad was our guide for this trip and let me tell you, he’s AMAZING!!!! Kept us entertained the whole car ride, made us laugh, told us the history of the place, took great pictures of us, and made sure we were comfortable at all times. We came with our college aged young adult children and extended family members. We were party of six range from 20 years old to 65 years old. Mohamed was great tour operator. He filled our days with well balanced activities. We hiked to the hillside to get a panoramic view of Chefchaouen. The young people are happy. We also walked through the residential streets for the older people in the group to take photos. I highly recommend this tour guide.
