In 1995, Colonia was listed as a Cultural Heritage site by UNESCO for it's unique historic center, which harbors vestiges of the first Portuguese colony in the Rio de la Plata in 1680, as well as a rich Spanish heritage of the following centuries. Ótimo passeio, Marcela foi a guia bilingue, contou toda a historia tanto do Uruguai durante o caminho a Colônia, como toda a história sobre Colônia ao chegarmos ao local. Recomendou ótimo restaurante também. Super simpática. E a cidade cheia de histórias.

Colônia é imperdível , ñ têm como passar menos de 4h lá , programe-se e aproveite, cada cantinho do centro histórico é uma foto linda, você sente a energia do lugar, da história é quase uma cápsula do tempo. Sentar a beira do rio, degustar um vinho... Ah veja bem, eu amoo o frio mas Colônia é muito fria por ser cercada de água no inverno o vento castiga então prefira outono ou inicio de primavera. Já fui nas duas épocas.

Very nice interpreter, but her English was difficult to understand. I enjoyed walking around Colonia del Este.
