I have been involved in the music business, running my own label to being signed as an artist, to managing a rock band. I have experienced many stories that I'd love to pass on!
What to Expect
You won't believe how much musical talent was crammed into one small iconic street! The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Elton John,
Jimi Hendrix, the list goes on and on.
Moving on to the venue that Brian Epstein, manager of the Beatles, took over and put on the legendary Jimi Hendrix one fateful night in 1967!
See Paul McCartneys business headquarters!
British RocknRoll started at this particular coffee bar. Then onwards to
the famous Marquee where all the greats played.
Then explore where the Beatles recorded their first release on Apple records!
For those who want to, we will then finish in an beautiful old, historic English pub, which has had many famous guests over the years, where I will tell you stories of my personal involvement in the music business!

Being an old school heavy rock and metal fan, I decided to go on this tour.
Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the tour guide, but he really knew his genre of music extremely well.
He took me and the other guests to the shops near Tottenham Court Road which sells musical instruments and where some of the famous rock stars practised. Even if your not into this type of music, you will learn quite a lot about this genre.
I also told some of the guests about some of the clubs and a pub which sadly no longer exists, which I used to go to when I was a lot younger.
One of the places you will be shown is where the Marquee Club in Wardour Street used to be, it will take you by surprise at the amount of famous rock and metal bands that played there.
One band that took me by surprise was Def Leppard and I asked the tour guide if this was before or after the drummer had his bad accident. Those who know about this kind of music and the band will know what I'm talking about, I'm not giving anything away here.
I hate to end my review on a sad note but when I went on this walking tour, it was five days after Ozzy Osbourne passed away.
We must not forget him or Black Sabbath, because without them the heavy metal music genre wouldn't even exist. A lot of the famous heavy metal bands like Metallica and the heavy metal fans owe him and Black Sabbath a debt of gratitude,.
Here's to you Ozzy, you will be sadly missed and I hope you rock in peace.

Excellent walking tour with a very knowledgeable and personable guide. It was great to hear about the origins of British rock/pop from someone who was there at the time.
