I was really looking forward to going to this bar however I was very disappointed.
First of all you need to climb into an old fishermans boat from the beach, quite an experience, then you need to climb out of the boat and onto a plank and onto an uneven stair way to the bar. This same boat picks you up to take you back to the beach, again climbing in and out of the boat this time from the uneven stairs...I can't believe I actually survived this...you need to pay $20 US per person to the boatman driving the boat.
This experience is not for anyone who is not young and surefooted.
I am an average 60 something and wow. I cannot believe the Jamaican government would approve of this hut on stilts on the edge of a reef in the water. The flooring was NOT even, in fact very uneven. I almost fell several times. There are only uneven planks to sit on. Very Very rustic! There is no bathroom to speak of, just a plank and ocean below...yikes!
Food was good but cold (I had Snapper& Bammi), drinks were warm. There were several people selling carvings, T-Shirts, photographs. Bring lots of cash (US or JMD). They don't take credit cards. I found it very expensive.
