On Everest Base Camp Trek-16 days we experience astounding mountain views, get glimpses of the life of the world famous mountain climbers (the Sherpas), enter Sagarmatha National Park, a world heritage site and tour high altitude Buddhist monasteries. Trekking to the Everest Base Camp of Nepal also provides us an opportunity to embark on an epic journey that Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay set off to in 1953. Our Sherpa will guide us to the base camp of the world’s tallest mountain, Everest on an adventurous trek package that also includes climbing Kalapathhar to admire the panoramic views of Everest and other Himalayas. Nothing beats the thrill and sense of accomplishment that grips hikers on seeing the power and grace of the mighty mountain up close.

*Caveat to the option above, my father and I trekked together (no teens). We had a great time! This was my second time trekking with Himalayan Glacier, and with the most excellent guide, Babu. Himalyan Glacier did a great job making our trip go smoothly, managing all the logistical details so that we could focus on the fun stuff. The Everest Base Camp trek is quite spectacular, from start to finish, traversing dramatic mountain terrain. Trekking with a guide and porter really elevates the experience. Both Babu (our guide) and Nikesh (our porter) were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Both went to all lengths to make sure my dad and I had a fantastic trip--including tweaking our itinerary to our needs, and helping arrange for a helicopter ride when we were contending with a (non-life-threatening) injury. For anyone considering trekking in Nepal, I would highly recommend Himalayan Glacier--they provide a great value. I plan to trek with them again whenever I get a chance to return to Nepal!

Trekking to Everest Base Camp had been on my bucket list for a while. Covid delayed it multiple times. It was well worth the wait! What an amazing journey. I trekked with Himalayan Glacier over the 2022 Christmas holiday. They helped make my dream come true. Our guides, Maan and Raju, were excellent. They paced us well to adjust effectively to the altitude and were always there to help. We had many fun conversations huddled next to the wood furnace trying to eke out any heat we could. Meals were fun and engaging. The accommodations were great. Our porters Krishna and Lakpa scurried up and down the mountains with all our myriad, and heavy, stuff to make sure we had everything when we arrived at that night's lodging. The views are astounding and can only really be appreciated in person. This is the trip of a lifetime!
