Walking Derry's historic walls will take you around 1.4 km (0.87 miles) of one of the best preserved walled cities in Europe. Built in 1613 the walls are utilised in telling the history of Derry. The tour was sort of amended since it was raining but it was still very good. The lady that gave the tour was a second generation Derry tour guide and her insights were very enlightening. It was a very memorable part of our whole Ireland tour.

Great experience with our guide. We learned an enormous amount about Derry - both recent history as well as that back into the 1600’s. We are from the US and didn’t know the deep history behind Derry. Wow. It cause us to find out more and go wander about “free Derry” to take a look at the monuments and murals. Thanks again to Gleann our guide. You opened our eyes.
