Let me caveat this review by stating I am a transportation geek. So I found the tour fascinating! If you’ve ever wondered why the NYC subway system is so huge and complex, take this tour! AJ explained it all in detail! Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable, he managed to keep our group together as we navigated multiple stations and trains. The tour is well paced, but covers a ton of information! If you are looking for something a little different to better understand some of New York’s history, take this tour. And yes, you will see that traffic has ALWAYS been bad here!

This was so much fun, really glad I did it. I was looking for a “deeper cut” NYC experience and this was fantastic. Tour operator was incredibly knowledgeable and clearly loved sharing his interesting insights with our group. Totally worth doing, highly recommend.

Our tour guide, Rayn, was fantastic. He is very personable and made the whole group feel a part of the tour. It was clear that the NYC subway system is a passion for Rayn and his energy for the topic was infectious. The tour included history, art, information about the transit system itself, and nyc. It was a perfect blend to keep the whole thing engaging. Hopping from train to train and station to station was fun. We all gained a new appreciation for the marvel of the nyc transit system. Definitely recommended.
