Stretch your legs near Lake Argyle when we stop at the new site of the original Durack family homestead, rebuilt stone by stone and now housing the historic Argyle Downs Homestead Museum.

    After a short drive to the Ord Top Dam, be amazed by the views of Lake Argyle and the view back towards Kununurra. Board our boat for a scenic cruise 55kms back to Kununurra. The first 15km is an exhilarating ride through the narrowest section of the fast-flowing water. Along the way, another layer of the outback unfolds, its waterways, another kind of spectacular scenery in an eco-environment thriving with birds and wildlife, including freshwater crocodiles.

Had awesome day amazing day, good food plenty of cool drinks provided .. our skipper was a touch over exerlent guy called Marbo , went above and beyond to make it great day ,made us feel welcome and relaxed . Cheers Marbo .

Visited the Durack Homestead after doing the beautiful Ord cruise. Very impressed to see 2 Aboriginal Ilmas (wands) on the wall along with a few other Aboriginal artefacts- I was very excited to see them as they are only used in the Kimberley region. However no one knew anything about them - there was no descriptions or info. This seemed like a big omission as the Kimberley is rich with Aboriginal history and rare culture - such as the only place in the world where the Wandjina rock art is found. A few people who were on my tour commented that Aboriginal history seems to be largely ignored in this area while the Durack story is well known because of depictions in literature and film. A bit sad for the original owners of the country whose land was stolen from them.
