On the historic site of the former fashion house, the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris opened its doors in October 2017 and presented the work of the creative genius himself, as well as the process of creating a high-fashion collection. Yves Saint Laurent’s studio also forms part of the museum’s exhibition, preserved inside the fashion designer’s elegant private mansion located in the 16th arrondissement. The first museum of this size entirely dedicated to the work of one of the most famous couturiers of the 20th century, it showcases, over more than 450m², both the creative genius of the couturier and the process of creating an haute couture collection. A true pioneer, Yves Saint Laurent is the only creator of his generation to have archived all his work since the establishment of his company. As a result, the museum's collection includes more than 5,000 haute couture models.

Visite au top, musée magnifique, guide très gentille. Petit bémol, nous avions pris la visite de 10h30 et le musée ouvre à 11h du coup on se retrouve avec d'autres personnes qui nous passent devant, font du bruit pendant la visite et les explications de la guide.

zeer degelijke rondleiding in Yves Saint Laurent museum door gedreven en bekwame gids. Enig minpunt : geen vestiaire ' en dit in een modemuseum ; Je moest dus met je dikke jas en rugzak in het museum rondlopen
