Munich is famous for it's beer. Before this city became world famous, there was a lot of history to be told. Beer halls, beer gardens, and cellars tell different chapters of our history. We speak about the competition between the church and the women brewing beer. Yes, halloween is part of the beer history, and this is not a joke. I'm a international beer sommelier. In my experience, my guides and me show you the secrets of this beverage and teach you how to better enjoy it. Only small groups. When necessary, I have a second guide to help to keep the same service quality as in a private tour. Learn how to taste and enjoy beer. How to combine with personalized menus, and how to impress your guests. I bring you to the different houses and tell you about their history. Secrets of the second world war, love affairs, and politics from town will be introduced combined in hours of fun and beer history. Paul could not do the event so he had his friend John take his place. Not a big deal as John seemed like a really nice guy. However, John didn’t know much about beer, which is a problem when an official beer Sommelier explanations is advertised . Instead, John read for a minute or two off of his Google phone about beer ingredients . Then we were left with a couple of hours of small talk and walked by the Oktoberfest museum, but could not go in because it’s closed on Sundays, admission to this was also advertised, see attachment. Paid $262 for 2 attendees on booking.com, it was a complete waste of of time.

My family arrived in Munich on the day of our tour. We showed up at the meeting place and could not find a guide. After waiting 10 minutes past our start time, and asking all around, I found a phone number. The girl who answered told me my tour was cancelled. She said my bank stopped payment bc it was an overseas charge. I was NEVER notified, as this would have been an easy misunderstanding to clear up. She insisted they had sent an email which I went back to look for, and found no evidence of a notification. While I was on the phone she also informed me that our tour for the next day to Dachau was also cancelled. Wow! Great start to our family vacation. After sharing this experience with others I heard multiple stories that were similar, all through Trip Advisor tours. I had other tours planned later in the week with another company and I had no trouble at all getting payment through. Bottom line, this turned out to be a gift. These two tours were expensive, and were able to be easily replicated without this company. We tasted many beers and German foods on our own, asking individuals in the beer halls about their beer processes. The next day we took the bus to Dachau (which you do on the tour anyway) and paid 4 Euros each to join a tour guide right there! Very informative, very inexpensive.
