    The high energy show features lumberjacks from all over the nation competing in events such as the underhand chop, standing block chop, springboard chop, speed climbing, log rolling, boom run, ax throw, hot saw event, cross cut and more. Heckling, booing and cheering are encouraged; but be warned, too much smack talk and you may end up on the stage competing against the professionals! These lumberjacks are not actors – they are actual world renowned lumberjacks with quite a resumé.

The food was not the food that Paula serves in her Lady and Sons restaurant. It was very bland. We had a good time at the show.

This is an enjoyable experience for the family. This is an outdoor event in the evening so plan on the weather. The price is not terrible given the meal and show. The meal is served under a covered area but as others have complained the birds are a nuisance. They will dive down and into the area with the tables attempting to steal food and are not scared of people. They also will hang out in the roof area lingering overhead. The meal is simple with some pulled pork, beans, coleslaw, corn and a roll. Its an ok meal, but probably the tickets to this show are cheaper than others because the meal is not as high quality. It is a buffet before the show starts. The seating for the show is first come first serve so the quicker you can get in line the better. There is no real direction as we finished eating and joined some others we saw waiting near what we thought was an entrance roped off. We were then told we needed to not block that area as that was the handicap entrance. Again no signage or information to indicate no one should block it. We then had to go through the serving area and around the back side where a gift shop was to get our pictures taken before entering. The seating is covered. The show itself is neat and competitive between the crowd cheering the competitors on. There are funny parts as well. The lumberjacks and jill'ss do sign autographs after the show on wood craft items that they try to sell at intermission and at the end. Participation does help as they give out slices of wood each time a side wins to a lucky energetic person they notice in the crowd. I'd say go if you are in doubt, but expect it like anything geared towards tourists with attempts to try and sell you more things to take home.
