Our journey begins with a scenic 35-minute car ride from Tirana to Pellumbas village, where we'll embark on a memorable hiking adventure. The well-marked path, of moderate difficulty, winds through a captivating landscape that includes lush forests, the tranquil Erzen River, the majestic Dajti Mountain, and breathtaking vistas of Tirana city. As we trek to the cave, soaking in the natural beauty, the journey takes approximately 1 hour. Upon reaching the cave entrance, we'll pause briefly to catch our breath before venturing inside. The cave's interior is expansive, resembling an underground mine. Illuminating our way with torches, we'll marvel at its unique and mesmerizing features. Pellumbas Cave is renowned in Europe for its six well-defined karst galleries, and it sits at an elevation of 350 meters, forming a tunnel that stretches an impressive 70-80 meters in length.

It was an amazing experience, my guide Riges was really experienced, generous and fun, we got to see the cave and bath in the river next to the canyon! The hike was quite easy (It was my second or third hike, so I'm a beginner tbh), and we had no problems at all! Just as a reminder, the water is freezing cold ????

I needed this adventure for my sole. I would have never done it and felt the joy of discovering without my gentle and smart guide. He used to play in these mountains when he was a child! A gentle reminder: Just wear your hiking shoes :)

De wandeling was heel erg leuk en mooi. Onze gids paste zich goed aan aan ons tempo en het was harstikke gezellig met hem. Hij had ook veel te vertellen over Albanië en had bijna altijd wel antwoord op onze vragen. Na een uur gewandeld te hebben kwamen we aan bij de grot. Daar hebben we een poosje binnen ingelopen en was bijzonder om te zien. De gids begeleidde ons goed door de grot heen en hielp ons waar nodig. Na weer terug bij de auto te zijn gekomen, zijn we naar de rivier gereden. Wij hebben niet gezwommen, omdat het geregend had. Dat was wel jammer, daardoor duurde de toer ook korter. Het was echt ontzettend mooi en leuk.
