2 Day - Short Inca trail to Machu Picchu - Private Services

Would have rated it 6 if we could! Exceptional tour - Valencia travel were very easy to deal with, flexible and genuinely interested in giving us the best experience possible! Our tour guide Hugo was amazing, he was a super knowledgeable and gave us a great history of the Quechuan and the Incan kings during the trek and the tour of Machu Picchu. Not only this but he was very friendly and gave really good recommendations of what to do in Cusco (and elsewhere in Peru). He was also really helpful with us during the trek, making sure we were safe and helping us at times we were struggling with the steep ascents or descents - especially helpful as we were not the strongest hikers. Would highly recommend Valencia and Hugo for Machu Picchu or any other tour!

We had a great experience doing the two day Inca trail through Valencia Travel. We had a private guide, Felipe, who made our trip extra special. Before the day of the hike, he gave us a thorough briefing of what to expect the following days and answered all our questions. The next morning, he picked us up punctually at our decided time. He shared so many facts about the Incan culture throughout the hike and the visit to the Machu Picchu archeological site. During the hike, he respected our pace and gave us time to take plenty of breaks. He even offered to carry our bottles of water for us since our daypacks were heavy. He waited for us patiently while we took pictures (the hike and the Machu Picchu archeological sites have countless number of photo opportunities). He recommended spots to take photos of us and took them for us from different angles and lighting! He is an excellent photographer and he did not rush the process of taking photos. Felipe was very personable and by the end of the trip, we felt like we had made a friend in Peru through both his own stories and his knowledge about Machu Picchu and Peru. We communicated with Vivian in Valencia Travel and she was really prompt at corresponding with us and answering all our questions. Our itinerary was a little different than usual because we were starting our trip at Ollantaytambo instead of Cusco, and she was very flexible in making adjustments for us. All in all, we highly recommend Felipe and Valencia Travel!

Guido was an excellent guide for our 2 trip on the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu. From his initial orientation covering what was needed for the trip and advising of the itinerary. On the trail he was great at working at our speed, explaining the archeological sites, and covering the known aspects and theories of the Inca and Pre-Inca civilizations.
