Portland's chocolate scene is overwhelming; let us navigate you through its origins, passionate makers, and diversity with this walking tour that delves into what some call "decadence" but we call "delight."
And we couldn't cover chocolate without the roasted seed of our other favorite tropical berry: coffee! Portland is known as the heart of the craft coffee roasting world, with so many small roasters, coffee lovers that we are, we struggle to taste them all.
Our tour hits both the well-known highlights and some of the secrets of the chocolate scene, with a few surprises we don't want to give away.
The tour in total is about 2.0 miles (3.5km), mostly flat walking, with tastings of chocolate and coffee -- just the right amount so you'll have the opportunity to truly savor every sip and bite! We keep groups very small, so you'll have an intimate experience with your enthusiastic guides.
(Contact us for larger groups or private experiences; we are happy to accommodate!)

Azar Indulgences, Portland, Oregon, United States We'll walk down through the funky Portland West End and stop at Azar Indulgences, where owner Christine Azar has designed her ideal combination of both handcrafted Belgian-style chocolates from her family's company in Lebanon, and wine carefully selected from both local and international winemakers. Azar's one-of-a-kind chocolates are made in a family tradition going back over a century; we'll taste a selection of our favorite of these chocolates (although to be honest it's so hard to pick!) and wine, as well. 20 minutes

Great tour guide, very knowledgeable and personable. Carrie explained a lot of Portland history outside of just chocolate and coffee, we had a great time.

Our tour guide, Nancy, was so kind and full of information. She took us to the most incredible local chocolate and coffee shops. The tour was very customizable which I loved. We had the flexibility to order coffee/tea drinks of our choice. At the chocolate shops we were able to say we prefer dark chocolate and they customized the chocolate that was given to primarily dark. They were also able to do dairy free vegan chocolate as well. Nancy was also such a wealth of information and gave us so many recommendations for restaurants, shops and great places around Portland. I can’t recommend this tour enough!
