There are many pastel de nata classes offered, but we feel lucky to have stumbled upon the perfect one! Filipa is a wonderful hostess and baker. She taught us how to make the puff pastry and the filling from scratch, and subsequently emailed us the recipe. We had many pasteis de natas in our 10 days in Portugal, but we unanimously agree these were the best tasting ones by far! A lot of the big shops are almost 100% machine made, but ours were fully from scratch. Delicious! You will love this tiny bakery and experience :)

This class was amazing! I traveled with my mother to Lisbon and signed up for this activity. It was a small group of six of us working together to make pastel de nata. Filipa, the owner of the bakery and instructor was extremely warm and friendly. She took an interest in our lives and provided various recommendations of where to visit while in Lisbon. She told us about the history of the Pastel de Nata and taught us hands on baking techniques to make the best pastel de nata. The finished product was DELICIOUS! Thank you Filipa for teaching us. I can’t wait to make pastel de nata on my own at home!
