    Liwa Oasis is about 97.6 km (60.6 mi) south of the Persian Gulf coast and 150 km (93 mi) southwest of the city of Abu Dhabi, on the northern edge of Rub' al Khali desert. It is centered around 23°08′N 53°46′E and stretches about 100 km (62 mi) east-west, along an arch curved to the north. It consists of some 50 villages.

Superbe journée. Après un peu d'autoroute, arrivée dans le désert. On passe en mode 4x4. Traversée de dunes vertigineuses. Rencontre avec les chameaux. Course-poursuite des gazelles. Déjeuner pique-nique au milieu d'une palmeraie. En fin de journée, notre guide Ibrahim nous a mené au champ de courses des chameaux. Génial. Très belle journée avec un super guide, qui aime son métier et qui aime ce qu'il nous fait découvrir. De magnifiques souvenirs. C'était parfait.
