Driver wanted us to get out of the car since he didnt know where hotel was just that it was in the vicinity of the area. We refused and he managed to find a policeman to assist him to get to the hotel. Very stressful!

I recently started using Bookings.com taxi transfer. Biggest mistake ever. The driver arrived 30 minutes late for my transfer to the airport in Cappadocia. Luckily I always plan for any mishaps. Then I land in Istanbul and I had to wait for 40 minutes for my transfer. Some may say I'm impatient but when you pay for a service that was booked 24 hours in advance I don't expect to be waiting. Never use booking.com taxi service. That's my advice

We were not met upon arrival and waisted an hour finding someone who found someone to drive us to our hotel. No explanations or apologies were made. So... it's hard to recommend this company for that reason. However, once we were connected with the driver, we have nothing but praise for the driver and service: safe but quick driver who knew his way around terrible rush hour Istanbul traffic who helped us with our luggage which was ugly because there were 6 of us on a 3 week country tour.
