ATV Quads Let's Ride Shore Excursion - Amber Cove & Taino Bay

Alex was an amazing guide and made several jokes. Just be prepared to get dirty. I would recommend wearing goggles because sunglasses didn’t help much. Most of the ride is on dirt roads. Lunch was actually a home cook meal which was delicious.Overall the ATV ride was great. You will also have time at the end to explore the shops at the port. My only complaint was when it was time to purchase the video clips and pictures. I felt that I was scammed,but I really wanted the footage. The photographer told me $60. When I went to checkout with someone else the price went to $77 because of taxes. Not sure what kind of taxes they charge.

I can’t say enough good things about this excursion! It was worth every peso! To start, Lidia was amazing and helpful during booking. She got back to me promptly and when some plans needed to change due to availability, she was there to make it seamless and easy— exactly what you want when you’re in another country booking excursions last minute! We got picked up on time by Diego (our driver) and Carlos (our guide). Y’all, Carlos was PHENOMENAL! He was charismatic, kind, helpful, and full of knowledge and personality. From start to finish, he made this excursion memorable and fun! On the way home, I asked him what the fruit was a lady was selling on the side of the road and he had Diego pull over, Carlos jumped out of the van and paid for some quenepas with his own money so we could try them. I mean it, he went above and beyond! It was just my boyfriend and I, so not overly crowded like some excursions. Our ATVs were very nice and clean. It was raining and Carlos made sure to check in with us to make sure we were still comfortable! We stopped at a lovely little spot to try handmade cigars, mamajuana (a portlike wine), hot chocolate, and coffee. We bought a little of everything and felt like it was very reasonably priced. We loved being able to give directly to people who lived in the area we were cursing through on our ATVs. Lunch was very casual by the beach and delicious- a true Dominican meal! It started to rain and everyone jumped to and helped us get to shelter. The rain passed quickly and we swam at the gorgeous beach for awhile before heading back! On the car ride home, Carlos kept the rum and cokes coming while also being very personable and keeping us laughing! He’s a truly, authentic soul! Excursions can be overwhelming sometimes but if we’re ever back in the Dominican, we will definitely book with Iguana Mama! They made this the best day we’ve had since we’ve been here! Couple additional details: Bring sunglasses for sure and face covering if you don’t want dirt in your teeth. Your bag for the beach goes with you so be prepared for that. Mine was not waterproof but also didn’t get dirty, even with the rain and puddles. Save room in your bag for purchases!
