Wonderful tour with Kristina and Rafa. We spotted several mama humpback whales and their calves just before they closed whale watching season to give the mothers some rest and respite from tourists. Highly recommend if you're looking for a smaller group tour that puts the marine life first!

A last minute decision to take the EcoTours whale watching turned out to be the best day we had this year in Puerto Vallarta. I am not sure exactly why I chose this tour as it is a little more expensive but I liked the boat and having a biologist onboard so I booked it. I got incredibily lucky because our guide for the day is the Bay's lead biologist and whale rescue head name Astrid. She wowed us at every turn. Her excitement was contagious. She loves her job and that made our day even that much better. We saw pods of dolphin. We experienced 5 male humpbacks fighting for one female's attention. The day got even better when we spent the next half hour watching and photographing a mom and her baby at playtime, breaching every 16 seconds. Astrid continuously cataloged the events as part of her ongoing research. So exciting to be part of the study of humpback whales in the Pacific. Thank you thank you thank you Astrid and your team. An amazing day that will never be forgotten.

Exceptional experience led by a marine biologist. Interesting information about the whales and their habits, and of course a number of incredible whale sightings.
