Chocolate Museum, Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany Like a ship made of glass and metal, the chocolate museum is located in the Rheinau harbour, directly in front of the old town, near the Cologne Cathedral.
In medieval times in Cologne, the anchor and terminal were located here by the Rhine boatmen. Today the old swing bridge has been renovated to the new designed harbour quarter of the "Rheinauhafen".

Wouldn't bother unless it was to get away from some particularly terrible weather or you desperately need a warm up after visiting the Christmas Markets. Yes there are a few areas of interest, the history and some of the old marketing but basically you are visiting a chocolate factory set up for Tourism. Also too many crowds to be able to enjoy, even with the jump the line system of buying in advance

Vale a visita por ser um lugar muito bonito que fica a beira do Rio Remo. Durante a visitação pudemos provar a vontade o chocolate que estava sendo feito em pequenas barrinhas e mergulhado no waffle. Calhou de irmos no museu ao por do sol, então pudemos observar, através das imensas janelas de vidro, a mudança da cidade.

Nice way to get out of the rain for a bit. Cute museum and had some nice samples. I think there were a couple school trips there while we were so it was a bit crowded and loud. Try the hot chocolate in the cafe after, it was delightful.
