Meet your guide early near St. Peter's Square, and visit St Peter’s Basilica at the quietest time before the crowds descend. By an elevator, head up to the first level of the dome to the balcony, admire the Basilica’s inside view of the dome on the Bernini’s canopy below and the array of incredible mosaics which circle the dome. Climb the spiral staircase to the top of the dome, the highest point within Rome, for breathtaking views of the Eternal City.   • Please be aware that large bags/backpacks/suitcases are not permitted in the monument/ attraction. Only very small bags are allowed. Please do not bring these items with you on the day of your tour as there are no cloakrooms at the monument.

This was a really informative and enjoyable tour delivered by a very knowledgeable guide who delivered his subject in an interesting and entertaining manner. We really enjoyed visiting the Crypts and the views from the top of St Peter’s Dome. The walk to the top of the Dome is quite strenuous but well worth the effort.

Chi visita Roma non deve perderseli. Anche in pieno Ferragosto e in epoca Covid i visitatori sono molti, quindi la visita va prenotata con anticipo. La guida a mio avviso è assolutamente necessaria per orientarsi tra le innumerevoli opere e mantenere l'attenzione con il caldo non è facile. Ho avuto la fortuna di avere come guida Chiara Triggiani, che oltre alla competenza sa trasmettere tutta la sua passione per l'arte. Con il suo entusiasmo espositivo ci ha tenuti incollati per tutta la durata della visita (2,5 h). La consiglio vivamente.
