While the Basilica is beautiful beyond words, this tour was disappointing. I had a hard time understanding the tour guide (English felt like it was her third language), she rushed us from point to point, all the while providing way more historical details than I felt was necessary, including every Italian and Latin names for everything. If we had been given moments of silence to absorb the beauty of the place, it would have been more meaningful. She also seemed to struggle with where exactly to go with our group.
