In this self-guided food tour you will explore the best of Rotterdam's city centre, on- and off track. Along the way you will enjoy 5 delicious tastings typical for Rotterdam. An online web app will guide you from stop to stop and provide extra information. More information about important city Highlights will be given as well. Three tastings of the five will be in cafés and restaurants where you can sit down, one tasting will be at a chocolatier (YUM!) and one will be in the famous Markthal. We thoroughly enjoyed our food tour. The fact that it was self-guided was what enticed me in the first place, in that you can go at your own pace. However, READ all the information about the stops AHEAD of starting. Depending on your start time, you may not want to dawdle too much, as a couple of the stops have closing times noted. We were very fortunate that the Chocoholic owner was so sweet to let us come in 5 min before closing, and stayed longer in order for us to enjoy his chocolates ... one of the highlights! But sadly we missed the Markthal greek pie. The quality of each food stop was excellent! I would never have known about the "kipsalon" without this tour ... the dish at Boca's. Was even considering going back the next day to grab one before getting on our cruise. Alas, no time. We enjoyed the fact that smaller 'entrepreneurial' stops were used for the tour. It was a very inciteful tour. But be prepared with good walking shoes.

Wir haben viel gesehen, was wir ohne die Tour nicht entdeckt hätten. Auch unseren Kindern hat es sehr gut gefallen und geschmeckt.

This tour was absolutely brilliant and I cannot recommend it highly enough!!! The communication from Ariane beforehand was fantastic, our bikes were ready early and we were allowed to keep them all day, so we could take as long as we wanted on the tour. Every food stop was unbelievable. It was so lovely to meet all the owners, who were all so lovely and welcoming...as for the food...absolutely delicious... and unique! It was great being self guided as we had all the information we needed on our phone, but could take it at our own pace. We feel we saw so much of Rotterdam, including places we never would have seen on any other tour or activity. If you are going to do anything in Rotterdam, I would say this tour is an absolute must! Thank you for a fabulous day.
