Fabulous! Have visited San Marco before, but having open access to the basilica and practically alone was remarkable. Our guide (Nico) was terrific, extremely knowledgeable (answered any question, and explained lots of background and stories), with friendly and relaxed demeanor. (Upon request, even pointed us to great pizzeria!). If you are a fan of the masterpiece of San Marco, this is a must!

This was an incredible experience away from the crowds and I highly recommend this over or in addition to a daytime tour. We also did the daytime tour and while we got to see more parts of the basilica (especially the brass horses and bridge of sighs), the real magic was in the evening seeing it glow.
