I bought the Go City San Diego 2-Choice Explorer Pass and was completely misled by how it was advertised. While I understood the “2-choice” part, the way it’s presented strongly implies that you can choose two of the more expensive attractions, like San Diego Safari Park or LEGOLAND, while all the cheaper and smaller attractions are also included. In reality, you only get access to two attractions, no matter what — everything else is locked unless you pay more.
This structure feels deliberately confusing and borderline deceptive. It’s designed in a way that gives the impression you’re getting a wide range of access when, in fact, you’re extremely limited. I reached out to Go City about this and received what was clearly an AI-generated response, which didn’t address my actual concern at all — it just repeated what’s written on their website. It felt like a copy-paste job aimed at brushing off my complaint rather than acknowledging the misleading nature of the product.
This entire experience has left me with the impression that this pass is intentionally set up to trick people, and now I’m 100% convinced it’s a scam-like model.
A bad experience from beginning to end. I hope others see this and think twice before using Go City. I won’t be using their services again, and I’ll be warning friends and fellow travelers to stay away.
