The amazing story begun during the Gold Rush days and continued with the Beat Generation of the 50's. The famous post WW2 writers and icons, also called "the Beats", gathered in their favorite hangouts of North Beach. Jack Kerouac, Alan Ginsberg and Neal Cassidy contributed from here in setting the scenes for the hippie movement in the 60's.

Entrance to the Beat Museum is included in your tour. The museum features letters, manuscripts, photographs, books and other interesting items of the Beat Generation.
