Abbiamo soggiornato a Colle Val d'Elsa come punto di appoggio per visitare il Chianti. La parte alta è molto bella e caratteristica col centro storico medievale e le strade ben curate. Di giorno c'è abbastanza movimento, di sera la situazione è un po' più tranquilla secondo me principalmente perché effettivamente c'è poco da fare...ci sono pochi locali ognuno dei quali ha pochi posti a sedere e quindi se non prenoti non mangi (mi riferisco al mese di agosto, in altri mesi non so), due bar, una pasticceria (forse l'unica che ha gelati artigianali) chiusa dopo le 20 e un solo pub. Per trovare qualcosa in più bisogna spostarsi nella parte bassa, raggiungibile a piedi percorrendo una discesa molto ripida e scarsamente illuminata di sera in quanto l'ascensore che collega le due parti del paese è fuori servizio...quindi abbiamo dovuto prendere l'auto. Tuttavia questa zona non ci ha dato una buona impressione a livello di sicurezza e tranquillità e nelle sere successive abbiamo desistito. Un vero peccato perché le potenzialità ci sono ma al momento c'è poca attenzione al turista...bisognerebbe migliorare sotto molti punti di vista.

Le vene e sentierelsa sono posti fantastici dove trascorrere un periodo piacevole in completo relax tra natura e posti incontaminati.
