  • Mount Ijen is closed on the first Friday of the month for cleaning ( please avoid your travel date on this schedulle )
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Una experiencia que hay que vivir sin duda. Teníamos que empezar la excursión a las 6 pm, pero el conductor no llegó hasta las 8.15 pm. El camino desde nuestro hotel es largo hasta el embarcadero por lo que llegamos bastante tarde al campamento base de Ijen y aún teníamos que cenar. No empezamos la subida hasta las 2.30/2.45 am. Nuestro guía (Andy) fue súper amable. Paró todas las veces que lo necesitamos, nos explicó como trabajan los mineros allí (él había trabajado durante la mitad de su vida como minero allí), nos hizo muchas fotos y nos ayudó en todo momento. La experiencia la ha hecho insuperable. Quizá si hubiéramos salido antes del hotel, habríamos podido ver el "fuego azul" desde abajo, pero no ha podido ser. Aun así, más que recomendable hacer este viaje. Y si puede ser con Andy de guía, mejor.
