In two months of straight traveling, the days my fiancé and I spent with Praim were the best and most impactful days of our trip. I cannot speak highly of him enough. He is one of the most gracious, patient, informative, and kind hearted people I have ever met and I thank him so sincerely for offering one of the most memorable experiences of my life.
If you are seeking a truly culturally immersive experience during your time in Siem Reap, then you would be making a mistake if you missed the opportunity to spend a few days with him. If you reach out to him, he will give you a number of things to do and see throughout the course of your stay, and you can pick and choose exactly what you’d like to do. For context: we chose to spend a day solely exploring the temples, then among things, we took a boat tour through the floating villages into tonle sap Great Lakes, explored the countryside where we were welcomed into the homes of locals, and watched the sunset while having dinner beside a beautiful lotus farm and rice paddy fields, to
name a few. Per our request, Praim also took us to the Killing Fields in Siem Reap where we he spoke to us very deeply and personally about Cambodia’s history (we learned so much from him during that part of the tour). Overall if you choose to tour Siem reap with Praim, you will leave with such profound insight into another country’s culture. I left feeling that I somehow gained something significant in my life, feeling like I had enhanced my own personal human experience. I thank Praim dearly for the impact that I felt during my time there. Without having met him, Cambodia would not have meant to me what it does today.
