Silver Leaf Monkeys & Firefly Tour with Boat Ride (Kuala Selangor, Malaysia Tour Package) Firefly Tour - Proceed to Kuala Selangor town in the quiet hamlet of Kampung Kuantan, which is known as one of the largest firefly colonies in the world. On arrival at Kuala Selangor, visit 'Kota Melawati' formerly known as 'Fort Altingsburg', the execution block, royal mausoleum and colonial buildings. Silver-Leafed Monkeys  and long-tailed macaques are the main draw to the Melawati Hill. The significant difference between the silver-leafed babies as compared to the adults is that these babies have golden fur while the adults have dull grey colours. The long-tailed macaques, on the other hand, are generally a little more mischievous and if you turn your back for a second - you'd never know what they might do. A gentle reminder to exercise precautions with these lovely and wild animals, which can be quite erratic at times despite having so much human interaction.

Lo pasamos espectacular. Nuestro guía VJ ha sido majisimo con nosotros. Se notaba que era un experto conocedor de Malasia y de su fauna. Darle de comer a los monos ha sido lo más. Y las luciérnagas, mágicas!

I am experienced traveler, traveling all over the world. This experience was awesome. Our driver VJ was the BEST! You MUST ask for him. I could of stayed at the Monkeys forever. VJ bought some food and gave it to us to feed the monkeys. It was such an awesome experience. The Fireflys were just okay. I grew up with them...but there were millions of them. It was cool. But VJ made the monkey experience a BLAST!

The silver monkeys were amazing, so soft, gentle and cute. Take food to feed them or buy there. Would love to see them again. Dinner was nice, very fresh. The fish is still live and cooked on site. Fireflies, I got bitten by mosquitoes so not so enjoyable, but saw lots of fireflies.
