Half day tour to the Vatican Museums one of the world’s largest museum complexes, containing some 2,000 rooms that stretch for nearly 9 miles (15 km) inside Vatican City. Skip the line with your Small Group max 10 people, stroll through the corridors to view the world’s largest private art collection.     St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican is the largest of all the churches of Christendom in the world and is the largest of the four papal basilicas in Rome. Located in the small papal state of the Vatican in St. Peter's Square, it is the home of the main Catholic religious events. The majestic monument is today a UNESCO world heritage site and is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Rome, both for pilgrimage reasons and because of the architectural and artistic excellence of the building and the works it houses. Visiting St. Peter's Basilica, in fact, we can admire the extraordinary façade created by Carlo Maderno, the refined interiors of the church, the 46 altars, the 11 chapels which host works such as Michelangelo's Pietà and Bernini's canopy. We can also visit the tomb of St. Peter's and reach the dome created by Michelangelo, from which you can enjoy one of the most memorable views of Rome.

    This was a jaw dropping tour. The Sistine chapel visit alone or well worth the price. The St. Peter’s basilica was the cherry on top. Just incredible stuff. We had a great time.

    Mohammed was a great tour guide. Very personable. The tour was very well organised. I had never been to the Vatican Museum and that was my personal highlight. So many beautiful pieces of art and interesting history to go with it.

    Horrible tour, would not recommend. First of all, we were picked up from our hotel by a black minivan and taken to a restaurant underground. We actually joked that we had been abducted, because that’s what it felt like. No communication, felt very shady. The tour started, there was no skip the line at all, we just joined in with the rest of the tour groups (line was at least 150m long). We lined up for ages, then once we got to the entrance our guide didn’t have the right number of tickets for the group!! The group had 12 people, but he only had 11 tickets (this is of course, after saying it’s a group with a max of 10 people). We had to wait in the sun for a good hour, while our guide tried to buy tickets from other tour operators. He then asked if there were two people who would be happy to not do the tour, and do a later one because of the mess. This however would mean that you wouldn’t be able to do the full tour. We only ended up getting in because a family of the group snuck through and purchased their own ticket, so we had the right amount of tickets. Otherwise we would still be waiting in the hot Sun outside the Vatican. Not the guides fault, but we were rushed through due to the delay - but this tour operator would be my last recommendation!
