This 5,5-hour tour departs from Central Station Amsterdam to Holland’s colorful Keukenhof Park. Travel by air-conditioned bus through an area with endless tulip fields, one of the country’s most photographed and iconic landscapes. At Keukenhof, simply skip the line and enter one of the largest flower parks in the world with ease. The Keukenhof park contains over 7 million flower bulbs including tulips, hyacinths, and daffodils. Dozens of gardeners work for months to get the park in shape. During the planting, the bulbs are arranged according to a different theme every year. Enjoy approximately 3 hours to explore the park on your own before the return trip to Amsterdam. Optionally it is also possible to book the option including 1-hour live guided tour inside the Keukenhof.

  • The Keukenhof Gardens and Tulip Fields are open for a limited time each year; while the staff at Keukenhof Gardens works very hard to ensure the seven million tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and spring bulbs are in bloom during this eight-week period, the cycle of blooming flowers depends heavily on weather conditions. You are guaranteed to see a mixture of flowers in bloom from March to May, but April travel dates are recommended for the greatest chance to see the gardens at their very best, including the tulips.

The Keukenhof is a very beautiful park with millions of tulips and other flowers. The best time is in spring when all the flowers are in full bloom. Highly recommended and informative.

We were so glad we did this tour. The bus location was the Central train station so easy to get to. We could walk from our neighborhood. We appreciated being on our own but had the option of a tour guide for an extra fee. We heard peak was perhaps over but it was hard to tell, the gardens are maintained to have a beautiful show. We missed seeing colorful fields during the bus ride but the weather determines when the fields peak of course. We were happy to see a few still showing their colors. I thought maybe we would have too much time there but it was really just right for us.

The bus was fine, but we booked a personal tour guide for the Keukenhof Gardens and when we arrived at the meeting point we were told the tour guide was not available. No explanation. No compensation offered. The gardens are massive and since it would be our only visit in a lifetime we wanted a guide who would expedite and enlighten the experience. Very disappointed.
