    Situated in the beautifully manicured Tuileries Gardens, the Orangerie transformed into a museum in the early 20th century when Paris’s over-crowded museums needed new galleries. The Orangerie most famously houses the series of various waterlilies Monet granted to France thanks to his friendship with George Clemenceau, which earned their own private gallery space. The expansive collection of 19th century and early 20th century paintings features works by other famous Impressionists and those who came after. View Cezanne’s studies of fruits and flowers, seductive portraits by Matisse, and various phases of Picasso’s career through several nudes. Other artists including Modigliani, Renoir, and Utrillo, all make the Orangerie a must-visit for anyone who appreciates French art and the Impressionist movement.

Our guide Sunday, introduced us to the museum’s rich and very nice collection of impressionist, fauvist, and modern paintings. Sunday explained the art movements, the painters, and gave insider stories of the painters, We learned a lot from her and enjoyed our visit with her.

My family and I enjoyed a wonderful private tour of The Orangerie Museum in Paris. Our guide, Lili, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and she engaged my two young daughters very well and kept them interested in the paintings. The highlight of the tour, of course, was Monet's magnificent Waterlilies ("Les Nympheas"), and our guide Lili did a superb job explaining the history and meaning of these awesome works of art. Highly recommended.

Belen is excellent. Her knowledge of the paintings is only exceeded by her exuberance in explaining them. Would do other tours with her.
