The Tijuca’s National Park is a Brazilian conservation unit for the integral protection of nature, declared by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve. It is the most visited park in Brazil and is located in the central portion of Rio. As it does not have a continuous territory, is it integrated into the urban area of the city. The Tijuca Forest is part of Rio's history and has many curiosities, it mixes in a fascinating way with the city and the Carioca’s lifestyle. It is one of the greatest Eco spots of Rio, covered by Atlantic Rainforest with beautiful flora and fauna and many waterfalls, rivers and lakes, caves, mountains. In this classic Eco Tour, we will visit the most important points of the Forest Sector, hiking through the beautiful and forested streets and trails of the National Park, with options from easy to moderate levels.

  • Short hiking sections are required for this tour. May include stairs or uphills.
  • Pickups outside these areas (South Zone of Rio) will have an additional charge.
  • Rainy weather does not affect the scheduled tour of the forest, which is known to be more enchanting and lively during such weather. The waterfalls are more magnificent and the chances of spotting wild animals increase during rainfall. Visitors are guaranteed a safe and unforgettable experience in the forest, regardless of the weather conditions. Kindly be advised that the itinerary is subject to change based on various factors such as the park's regulations, prevailing natural conditions, and the physical capabilities of the group.

Bruno was very accommodating and knowledgeable in the forest & park. We had a group of mixed nationalities but we were lucky & thankful that Bruno spoke in English. We could have stayed longer in the park but the timing of the tour did not allow - 4 hours is not enough. It wasn’t clear if we needed swimsuits so we chose not to take them and missed the opportunity to stand under a waterfall. We didn’t get to see the wildlife we wanted (not Bruno’s fault; he looked for monkeys).

Super moment très jolie balade très accessible et surtout à laver une vue à couper le souffle Le guide très sympa beaucoup d’explications, on aurait voulu rester plus longtemps Mais nous avions un impératif l’après-midi sinon on aurait pu passer la journée

I did this hike and a whitewater rafting trip and both were great experiences. The guide was great and provided transportation on time. It was a lot of fun and for a good price! I would definitely do another activity with Rio Xtreme if I ever find myself in the Rio area again! PS: I also went before the time it says, but that is the earliest it allowed me to select.
